Quick Study "Ask With The Right Motive"

When it comes to asking the Lord for something, we need to ask with the right motive. The Father isn't going to grant us anything if it does not benefit Him or us. I used to pray like this all the time. I would cry out to God wanting prosperity. I knew as well as He did that I was just going to put any extra money towards the addictions I needed to fuel. I have said it numerous times; the Father is in the business of blessing His children. It took me a while to figure it out, but I am not going to get what I ask for if I turn around and use it for the wrong reason. I believe He supplies our needs to benefit the kingdom, not our own pleasures. Make sure when you ask the Lord for something that you ask with the right motive. Ask in love and not greed, and He will richly supply all your needs.
