Quick Study "We Are The Body"

Those of us who are born again are part of the body of Christ. We often hear about how the church is part of the body, but in scripture it talks about us as Christians being individual members of it. This passage also talks about us suffering and suffering as a body. This kind of suffering is not health or wealth related. I believe Paul is talking about the persecution we as Christians face. I mean the body of Christ himself was never sick, broke, busted, defeated, etc. His body thrived until His death when all the sins and every other part of the curse came upon Him. If we all believe we are to be sick poverty stricken sufferers, we are wrong. If we believe this way, I guess that means the Body of Christ is broke, busted, and defeated. When Jesus died He not only took all the sins of the world upon His body, but everything that exists under the curse of the law. We are the body and we need to keep it healthy. I believe Jesus is not going to return until the body is fixed.
