Quick Study "Are You A Doubter?"

I have chosen to write on the topic of doubt simply because today satan has decided to attack me with doubt. That leads me to the first point I would like to make. The devil causes us to doubt. This is one of his most powerful weapons he uses to pull you down. Weapons such as doubt, fear, anxiety, etc. Well the opposite of doubt is faith, and the bible says whatever is not from faith is sin (Romans 14:23). Faith is knowing God is going to do it, whereas doubt is telling God even He can't do it. The second point I would like to make is that so many Christians are struggling with doubt because of their spiritual immaturity. In James 1:7-8 we read about being a double minded man, unstable in all his ways. Your knowledge of the word will increase as you grow and mature in the word of God. You will strengthen your faith which will lead you to live a strong life of faith. In Habakkuk 1:2-4 we see the first problem of Habakkuk. In these verses we see that Habakkuk's faith is troubled and he is in doubt. There are too many Christians today living this way, constantly crying out to God and wondering where He is. They are doubting God, and doubt is the opposite of faith. When you are in faith, God is able and He will work in your life. If you are in doubt, you have left your life open to the enemy. Faith can be one of the toughest things for a Christian to develop. There is only one way to develop your faith; by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I can identify with that. I often plead with God to change some of my circumstances, and yet I know that doesn't exercise faith. God is able to do all things, but He wants us to learn patience, and trust. Be encouraged Joel, God is doing a new thing in your life. trust Him for the outcome, but also remember that God knows we are human and weak at times, and He loves us anyway, He has promised never to leave or forsake us. love mom
