Quick Study "Spirit v.s Flesh. . .Works Of The Flesh"

When I say the works of the flesh, I mean anything that we do which does not honor God. As Christians we need to stay away from the world's way. This is where our faithfulness and obedience really come in to play. For example, television is only becoming worse. You think a lot of shows on t.v are bad? Have you seen some of the new commercials? All their doing is telling people that what they are promoting is normal. Car maker Kia is trying to sell cars with sex related commercials. These are works of the devil; these are works of the flesh. All it takes is that seed to be planted. Once the seed is there, it begins to grow. So what's the outcome? We fall captive to the flesh. So what should we do? We need to stand in faithfulness and obedience so that we can fight off satan and all the tools he's using around us and against us. We can not live in the flesh if we expect to inherit the Kingdom of God. I don't care if it's drunkenness, sex, stealing, lying, gluttony, gossiping, etc. In the eye's of God, SIN IS SIN!!!!!! We need to strengthen our spirit by studying. This helps us gain more and more knowledge. Another thing we need to do is put on the full armor of God; everyday. We are engaged in a battle. Don't let satan get the upper hand. Trust in the Lord and let Him guide you through this battle.
