Quick Study "Love Of The World"

This is a topic I have touched on many times; the topic of man's love of the world. We read in 1 John 2:15 that if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. You cannot be a double minded person, trying to please God and please the world. All that is in the world is not from the Father. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life are not from the Father. The only way that we can rise above the world, rise above the flesh, is by doing the will of God. By accepting His invitation and becoming a child of God. By doing this we will abide in Him forever. You can not love the things of the world and love God at the same time. The flesh and the spirit are engaged in a battle, and you have to choose which one you are going to live in. You can't have both; you can't be on the fence. You are either focused on God and walking on the water or you are struggling trying to keep your head above water as you live and operate in the flesh. All I know is that the love of the world will get you absolutely nowhere. If you want to get some where, try the love of God. God loves you and wants to see you happy, joyful, prosperous, and healthy. He has promised those who are faithful and obedient to Him the blessing of Abraham. The world has promised you nothing and the world will give you nothing. So remember this; every morning when you wake up, who's love are you going to choose? The love of the world? Or will you choose the love of God? It's your choice, so make the right decision.
