Quick Study "Thou Wilt Cast Our Sins Into The Sea"

So many people have this misconception that when we become saved, we need to cry out and beg for our sins to be forgiven. First of all, it is very easy to become a Christian. Just look at Romans 10:9-10 where it says all you have to do is confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. That's it!!!!! That's all you have to do!!!!! No where in the word does it say that we have to ask or beg for our forgiveness. When we make that initial contact with the Father, and receive Him into our hearts, the slate is washed clean. So what happens to our past sins? God took them and cast them into the depths of the sea. Our sins, our iniquities, He remembers no more. We have been made dead to sin and alive in Christ!!!! He has nailed our sins to the cross!!!! So does this mean if we sin again that it will be forgotten? They will be forgotten, when we ask for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God has given us an opportunity to come to know Him. He has promised to cast your sins and iniquities into the depths of the sea. Even after you become born again, He gives us the promise that we can come to Him when we mess up, and He will forgive us. Wow. . .we serve a truly awesome God!!!!
