Quick Study "He Has Made You Free"

In John 8:36 we read that if the Son will make you free you shall be free indeed. What is Jesus telling us in this passage? What do you think we are made free from? The obvious answer to most people is that we have been made free from hell, so we can spend eternity with Him. It means so much more than that. The whole point of the death of Jesus was so that He could free us from all bondage of evil and sin. He has given us the freedom from pain, sorrow, lack, poverty, sickness, disease, depression, and all other things of this world. He has made us free from these things, it says so in His word (Isaiah 53:4-5). He has given us His word, and His word is that He has made us free, so we are free!!!! When God says something, He means it and He can't go against His word. It is that simple, He has made us free and we are free indeed!!!!!
