Quick Study "Victory"

Today is Good Friday, to me the most important day of the year. Christmas day is important but to me nothing is better than the day we acknowledge the crucifixion of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born into this world, died in this world, and resurrected in this world. Jesus shed His blood so that we could have victory in this corrupt world. Too many people believe that the only reason Jesus died for us on the cross was to give us eternal life. He did so much more for us at Calvary than what tradition has taught us. He delivered us from sin, sickness, disease, lack, poverty, and everything else that falls under the curse. He gave us the opportunity to come into covenant (be a partner) with Him. The faithful and obedient have been given the opportunity to live under the blessing. Even though He died physically and spiritually, Jesus was victorious in all He did. From the crown of thorns, the whipping, carrying the cross, and finally the nails which penetrated His flesh, He was victorious in setting us free. Even after He died, His work continued as He plundered hell and led a train of captives free. Don't get we wrong, I am truly excited for eternal life, but I am also excited to know that God's salvation plan for us starts now!!!! The devil lost and since then has tried everything in his power to get the church to believe that everything bad that happens to them is from the Lord. I am here to remind you that God is good, all the time. He promises never to leave you or forsake you. The devil was humiliated when Jesus was crucified. Do you want your child broke, busted, diseased, and defeated? No, and neither does God. He sent His only begotten Son into this world so that through Him we could have salvation. He didn't do it so that we could all sit around and point fingers at Him when things don't go our way. No, He sent His Son to set us free so that we can live lives of victory!!! So remember this Easter what Jesus did for you on the cross. It was so much more than we have ever been taught. I wish I had more time!!!!
