Road To Damascus. . .

If you are a believer, you have been down the Road to Damascus. A time in your life when the conviction of the Holy Spirit was so strong, that it knocked you to your knees. At this time you submitted to the Father; you gave Him everything. The scales fell from your eyes and you began to see the truth!!! This was truly a Road to Damascus type event in your life. For others, they are still on that road. The conviction of the Holy Spirit will only become stronger. You will become miserable and angry, wanting to fight the truth of the gospel. But soon you too will fall off your high horse and onto your knees, where you will submit all to God. God has a plan for every one's life. As long as you have been born into this world, He has a plan. It is up to us to make the decisions to follow His plan. Like Paul, we have to make the decision whether to follow the god of this world or to follow God Almighty. You see God had a plan for Paul. In Paul's case He personally stopped him on the Road to Damascus. As for you and me, He will use the Holy Spirit to give us an experience like Paul had. God sees which way your life will head. He sees the bad choices that are made when you follow the ways of the world. He wants you to follow Him, because He knows you will live an abundant life (it's a promise). He knows that He can use you to spread the gospel to others. God is not a respecter of persons, and He has given everyone the opportunity to come to know Him. He doesn't pick and choose, He patiently waits for all to accept His grace. When your road to Damascus experience comes, do the right thing and submit to God and His loving ways.
