Quick Study "Freedom"

War is something that is known very well to this world, especially in the Middle East. War also came onto the earth as a part of the curse. Unfortunately when backed with evil motives, certain people are able to push not only a country to the brink, but also the world. We saw this with the nazi movement in world war 2. This begs the question, "What should we as Christians believe when it comes to war?" I will give you my opinion. I believe that if our country and others had not fought the German's, we would not have the freedoms that we have today. Hitler was a powerful man driven by a powerful and evil force. God does not cause wars, satan does. The way I see it is that this is the earth is still God's creation, and we need to defend what is His. Whether we fight physical wars or spiritual wars, we have God on our side. I support the troops and what they are doing right now in the Middle East. Once again I believe they are fighting for our freedom. So let us not forget those who fought for us. Just remember this, war is caused by sin.

Amen to that Joel. I always think of your grandpa Buhr, who was in the thick of the war. We are truly thankful for those who fought, so we could be free, but even that pales to what Jesus did on the cross, He is the only one that can truly set us free. mom mom
